I’m having a lot of trouble figuring out how I can connected an IP camera/CMOS module I have that has a fixed IP address of 192.168.1.10 directly to ethernet port of RPi. The RPi connects to the network via Wifi that is also in the 192.168.1.x range. Whenever I try to access the camera via 192.168.1.10 it says no route to host (I’m assuming this is because it is trying to route through the Wifi to router which then can’t find this IP).

The camera works fine if the RPi and IP camera are both separately connected to router.

This seems like it should be simple to allow the RPi to access this IP camera directly on its own ethernet port. Does someone have a solution for this?

The Pi has to be specially configured for this, you can follow the instructions here (under “Configuring the network”): RMS installation instructions

Or you can just flash the SD card image where everything is already installed. You can find the link to the SD card image here: RMS quick start guide
